When we install sprinkler systems we always ensure 100 percent coverage as this is essential so you have no dry spots. To achieve this, we overlap the spray pattern of the sprinkler heads. By ensuring head to head coverage, this allows for each sprinkler head to reach adjacent heads. We also make sure to use the correct head type as sprinkler heads are designed for specific watering needs. Some heads are adjustable and allow for targeted watering, minimizing over spraying sidewalks, driveways or even your house.

We will select the sprinkler heads based on the irrigation coverage needs. We will also determine the number of watering zones along with the sprinkler head size. This all depends on water pressure, location of trees, bushes, lawns and sidewalks. Large areas will get one style, corners another, and areas under trees, bushes or shrubs get a different type. Our irrigation plan will guide us to ensure we use the correct sprinkler head types.

Pop-up lawn sprinkler heads are great for many applications because they are installed just below ground level. We ensure your pop-up sprinkler heads are installed so you will not damage them when mowing or with foot traffic as long as they are fully retracted. We also try to use adjustable pop-up heads in most cases to give more flexibility. Bush and shrub sprinkler heads are often taller to reach over when used for flower and shrub beds. , We always keep in mind the mature size of the plants when we select the height of the heads.

We will also ensure pressure is adequate to avoid uneven watering. We will plan the zones and water line routing and size to avoid unnecessary pressure loss. Long extended pipes can reduce overall water pressure, therefore it’s often better to create more zones rather than overextending a single zone. We will also minimize mixing head types within a zone because it can decrease efficiency.
